conditional formatting in a list box

Hi,

I know in older versions of access that you can't apply conditional
formatting to list boxes. Does anyone know if access 2003 can achieve
conditional formatting in list boxes

thanks

Hi Arvin,

I just tried conditional formatting in Access 2002 for a combo box, and it
works fine. Open the Northwind Customers form and add the following format to
the Country combo box:

Field Value Is equal to "Germany"

and set a different font color. Then see what happens when you open the form
to Alfreds Futterkiste.

Access 2003 also does not have conditional formatting in either list or
combo boxes.

Tom,
I believe Arvin meant that conditional formatting was not possible
while the combo was in drop-down, not after a selection was made.

Hi Tom,

As Fred says, not when dropped down and for a list box (which is always in
drop down <g>), not at all. The OP was looking for something to make a value
stand out from the rest, and that can't be done with conditional formating
in a list or combo box. A smal subform would allow conditional formatting,
and can be made to look somewhat like a list box.

Hi Arvin,

I was just answering the statement you wrote....not what you meant to write.
