"Computers near me" still not visible

I tried the 2 methods described in Article 257902
(The "Computers Near Me" Group is Missing from My Network
Places) without success,
and I also tried to tried the method described in Article
285035 (Cannot Access 'Computers Near Me' in Workgroup;
Error Message Reports Unavailable Server List) without
success.
Is there another remedy?
 
Okay I think you need to be a bit more specific...is the icon missing
or are the computers just not showing in the group?
If the icon is missing you one set of problems, computers not showing
in the group is a whole other set.
