computer won,t start after printer install

got new lexmark x3480. once installed worked fine but won,t let me restart my
comp until i disconnect printer. when connected again it works after start
up. i have just got a new printer the same make model . the same is
happening. anyideas please? i have got an albacomp 2440 comp. if this helps

Your computer BIOS is probably trying to boot to the USB connection to the
printer, specifically from the memory card slots that are represented as USB
mass storage devices. Check your BIOS settings to turn off booting from USB
devices
 
got dell computer,WindowsXP2003 and am using a CanonBJC-2100 printer but
does'nt want to print.
