Computer will not shut down

The computer will allow me to log off and shut down but
it will restart itself at least 3 times before it
actually shuts down.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

I have a system that will just power back up when you
tell it to shutdown - or even hold the power button for 4
seconds. It didn't do this before I upgraded my
motherboard. I'm assuming the problem is an
incompatability of the motherboard and the power supply.
If you have already tried using the latest bios available
for your motherboard - and if the system is not under a
warentee, I would try replacing the power suply with one
at the most resent ATX specifications.
