Computer waking up

My computer has been waking up at 6:00 a.m. for over a year now. I've searched everywhere for an answer. I've called 2 computer specialists. I've gone through all the control panel information. We went on a 3 week vacation recently and it was on the entire time. I don't have any scheduled tasks on the computer. I even turned off the virus detection. It has to be some kind of inner clock. Does anyone know where I can go to correct this

This is a setting in the BIOS, usually called Wake on Alarm, or a similar name. Consult your computer's manual for instructions on accessing the BIOS and where to locate this setting.

we have floor boards in our house and that can bring the computer out of sleep because it moves the mice. the mice can pick up up to 0.06mm movement (1 mickey). what i did was went into the mouse propiteys and there is an option, it is somthink like, allow this devices to break out of stanby. just made it so the only thing that woke it was pressing the power switch on my printer. now the cat cant hit the key board or mouce and wake my com up. thats all i can think of. other wise put it in hybernation mode. then you need to hit the power switch, if or else fails just shut the bloody thing down. ;)
