computer turns off and on

I have Windows 2000 Professional as my O/S.
After installing and opening AOL a couple of times, the
computer either shuts off immediately and begins to re-
boot or I get the blue screen with the following error:

***stop: 0x00000044(0x823c3648, 0x00000cca, 0x00000000,
0x00000000
MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS
(and sometimes the following third line appears)
dumping physical memory

How do I fix this? Thanks in advance.

What service pack if any are you running? What version of AOL. Nothing below version 7 works correctly in Windows 2000.
