My computer is trying to access the internet without me doing it. I have
checked for viruses and adware/spyware and found only one nuisance called
PowerReg Scheduler. What is this and is it a problem? Would this be the
reason that my computer would try to access the internet?

Here's where you should use Google to track down the answer. Google found
this "powerreg scheduler.exe: Part of 3COM modem software. Registration
reminder. Not required." Ad Aware might be able to remove it. Remove it from
any Startup group--the startup folder in All Programs or the Run key in
registry or from msconfig startup tab. Another frequent Internet searcher is
Real Player.

if you let messenger load before you connect to internet, always try to enter
to internet, o maybe have virus check it
