Computer system slowed down 50%

I have a gateway, and sp2,installed. Just last week,it began running slow!!
I have no idea what the problem could be!!! Its not memory or defrag. What do
I check,how can I test. System Doc, tells me everything is working fine!!

I am having the same problem with a Dell (Several of them). Clean installs
with no other software loaded.
