Computer Speed

I switched from dial up to cable with modem a few months
ago. There is no improvement in the speed of my computer.
Still not fast like others I know with the same thing.
(only 1 year old) Some one said it could be the drivers?
Possibly the cable modem ste up? PLEASE HELP ! I am not
real computer savy so please understand this ! Thanks

the spped of your computer or the speed of your internet access. Cable nor
any typew of internet connection will improve the overall speed of your
computer

you might call you ISP if you have problems with their services.

Does your computer have a NIC card. That is where most people have their
cable connected. My connection speed is 1.3mbps. You can check yours by
going to http://www.pcpitstop.com/internet/default.asp and running the
download speed check.
