computer slow after worm

I had the worm virus. The virus is gone and now my
computer is slow. Is there something I did or didn't do
that caused this.
 
You say you got rid of the worm; how?
Did you install the KB823980 patch? If not you are probably re-infected.
Install the patch, THEN clean the worm.
