vague and lacking in information ,impossible to advise
you,what kind of hardware,connection type? software
installed? type of xp install?
1 uncheck auto restart on system failure,in my computer
properties advanced,startup and recovery settings.
2 do you have all the windows critical updates?
3 the latest drivers,including motherboard chipset?
4 download and run spybot search and destroy

5 run through all of article 813444 from
support.microsoft.com
6 if this is a recent development what software/hardware
changes have you made? undo them.
