computer shuts down

Hello My friend asked me to look at his computer which is
a 450 mhz AMD system. For some reason the computer just
shuts down and reboots. Some times when it reboots it
fails to find a bootlog. and can not reboot. It seems to
run for about 20 minutes then just dies. Any idea's?

Which version of Windows ? Full text of error message? What action prompts the reboot?

Look for overheating. Test RAM with Memtest86.
