computer shuts down without warning

my computer shuts down without warning. an error message pops up when the computer restarts stating, windows has recovered from a serious error. C:\windows\minidump..... what does this mean? what is the spybot worm?

i did a mcafee virus scan and a spybot worm was detected

then you need to get rid of it. that is probably what is causing all your grief. worm\virus\trojan. get rid of any thing like that.

Do you have a blue screen that comes up with the shutdown of your computer?

no, but i did have that probelm a couple months ago where the numbers would start counting up then shut off completely. no the computer shuts off without any warning. when it comes back up there is an error message. how do i get rid of the worm?
