Angie, I am in exactly the same position as you. What is the exact url
u r directed to? i am directed to http://www.search-for-you.com/145/
This was just a minor annoyance at first, but now it is trying to
download trojans to my computer. Make sure that you have good anti
virus protection. I have tried everything to get rid of it, Ad Aware,
Spybot S&D, Hijack This but nothing works. When did u contract this
problem?

All of the spyware/adware programs mentioned are good but still leave entries
behind. Usually I remove spyware manually but this can be tricky and
dangerous. Download Bazooka. It does not remove spyware but will point you to
it's location. Most likely under the HKCU-Software-Microsoft-Windows-Run key
there is a hook set to start a process or the application when the PC boots.
You need to remove the entries or the applications will continue to reinstall.

HOW TO FIX THE SEARCH-FOR-YOU.COM HIJACK!!

Simple, untick a file called ntdlr under the startup tab in msconfig.
Im finally free from search for you after 2 months! yay!!
