I just recently upgraded my computer to XP. I waited to have firewalls and
securities installed. Then I went to Winmx to start downloading music and was
shutting it down after I used it. Then I went and I played a game under
Yahoo.games. As I was shutting the computer down for the night, it was giving
me trouble, slow, not closing programs...but then it asked me if wanted to
turn off the computer, so I did. The next day the computer seems to be in a
loop because it asked me since there was an improper shutdown do I want to
start at the last good configuration or safe mode (three other choiches too.)
I tried all of them and nothing worked. I even tried to repair and it is
stuck at 1: c:\windows.

there is also another part where it is asking me if I want really partion
the c drive, should I?

thank you

Yes, why not - given you can't even spell "partition" what harm could you
do.

No you shouldn't, unless you really want to lose everything
on your C drive.
