computer running really slow

My computer is running very slow. At times it does not
respond

Do a Clean Install of Windows XP, without more imformation thats the best
advice. Do you get any error messgaes or anything?

Run an updated virus scan.
Or Scan for Viruses online:

Run Disk Cleanup checking all boxes except "Compress old files"
Run Defrag.
If you have file sharing software such as Kazaa, disable it.

First try to restore the pc, and if does not woork add
memory, and if does not work, get Macfee virus scan.
I high sugest to give ride of program you not use, videos
etc.
