As title says, when i shut xp pro down and router is still switched on. the
machine will shut down correctly. then restart 10 seconds later. If i turn
router off first and then shut down pc, it will stay turned off. Any ideas
whats causing this? obvioulsy something to do with my router and/or my
internet connection still being connected. any help with this would be
appreciated

Reboot, enter the BIOS by pressing the specified key, and look for any Wake
on LAN settings. Disable them.
