Hope someone can help! Just bought a new PC with windows
XP, AMD 2000XP.
The problem is shortly after switching on my PC, it
decides to restart without any warning. It just switches
it's self off then starts to re boot and normally after
that it's ok.

If anyone can help please let me know!!

Thanks in advance.

Barry, Rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery. Uncheck Automatically Restart.
This may give you a Blue Screen with error messages on it next time this
happens. Also, check here

Barry:
Rich's suggestion is definatly a good one to try and give you an error
message. XP will automatically reboot itself to try and fix problems. The
problem is if it reboots, you don't see why it rebooted.

However if you just bought this computer, I would assume it has a warranty?
If so, then i'd suggest you bring it back and let them worry about it.
Something isn't working right and the store or individual shoudl be
responsible.
