How can I find out what ram I am running and also what kind of processor? If
anyone can help me it would be appreciated.
Thankyou.

Hold down the Win Logo key (between Ctrl & Alt) and then press
the Pause/Break key (top right).

A bit of possible overkill but an excellent utility, if one
can still download it. Search for and download Everest Home
Edition, Ver. 2.20.405, from Lavalys, Inc. It will give you
all of this information and much more detail.

To find Windows version...

Start | Run | Type: winver | Click OK

Windows key + Pause/Break key

To find Windows version and processor, open System Information...
Start | Run | Type: msinfo32 | Click OK |
Look in the right hand pane.

Also do a little exploreing in the left hand pane.

Consult your computer's or motherboard's manual or the
manufacturer's web site for specifications.

If you cannot lay your hands upon the computer's manual and the
manufacturer doesn't provide a support web site, you can use these
utilities to help determine the type of RAM installed:

SiSoft's Sandra
http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/index.php?dir=&location=sware_dl&lang=en

Belarc Advisor
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Unlimited Possibilities' AIDA32

Also, Crucial Memory's web site (www.crucial.com) has a database to
help to find the right RAM for your specific make and model computer
and/or motherboard.
