Computer Power Mode

For some reason over the past 2 weeks, my computer will not go into
hibernation mode. I had previously set my computer to have the monitor
shut-down after 15-minutes, and the CPU to shut-down (hibernater) after
20-minutes. I've adjusted the "Power" settings to different intervals, but
nothing seems to work.

Please help.

Also - I used to be able to just hit any key on the key-board to get the
computer out of the sleep mode. Now I have to use the mouse to click on the
"log-in" area. How can I get it reset to the original setting?

Recheck the Hibernate settings to see that they are on and the correct
amount of space is provided. Also the "wake on" settings for the wakeup
issues.

You might try MS's UPHClean utility; it can fix a multitude of problems.
