Computer on Domain not being seen when browsing network

Using Windows 2000 Server with one domain, workstation is Windows XP. The computer is seen in Active Directory, but when browsing Entire Network every computer in the domain shows up in the list but this one. If you search for it specifically, it is found but it does not show up in the network locations. I am using Veritas backup software and am unable to select this machine from the network to back up the necessary files because it does not show up in the list of networked computers. What is the problem here?

Are you using DHCP? Check this workstation's TCP/IP properties to make sure
that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.

Although you may indeed want to fix the browsing issue, I suggest you not
back up workstations - in fact, don't store *any* data on the local
workstations. Redirect all users' My Documents to their home directories on
the server. Workstation backups are a major PITA. Treat workstations as
interchangeable objects - using roaming profiles, maintaining strict
workstation OS/software build standards, and not storing any data locally,
makes an admin's life a lot easier.
