Computer not finding asms files

i recentaly did a hardware upgrade for my computer. I added a new motherboard, processor, and more ram. After doing this, I went to repair my windows instalation because you need to in order for the XP on my previous hard drive to work. I repaired everything fine, but when i restarted and got to the other set-up screen a messege popped up saying i needed to insert the disk labled "windows XP home edition sp1" I did so, but the computer comes up with another messege that says the file "asms" on Windows XP home editions service pack 1 is needed, then it says type the path where it is located. Well i have no clue where it is located on the disk or what to do next, so i would appreciate any available help.
