For one week I have talked to Dell about my computer
locking up and the mouse shutting off. After eight
calls, Dell sent a man to install a new mother board and
reinstalling with disks. I have done the 3 Reinstall
ones and AOL, but NOT any of the programs, like Office XP
and Norton SystemWorks. THE COMPUTER CONTINUES TO LOCK UP
AND THE MOUSE SHUTS OFF. Sometimes the computer has to
be Restarted 4-5 times over several hours before the
mouse light will come on.
1. Do I need to reinstall Office XP before you can
help me try to find the problem? If so, do I need
special numbers like I did last July to be able to do it?
2. Is there a diagnostic part of Office XP to
determine what the problem is?
3. Is there a patch for this problem. (I thought I
did all of the Updates as they popped up.)
4. I am VERY computer illiterate, so I need BIG HELP!
