computer keeps rebooting

it reboots at least twice an hour, i've turned off the automatic start
up.I've got aASUS K8V SE deluxe motherboard with an AMD athlon 64 3000+
processor, ati radeon 9800 pro graphics card 2 x 1GB pc-3200 memory and have
XP home edition service pack 2, 8 fans and soundblaster external 24bit live
sound card. Please can anybody help ?

Could be any of the following:

- Bad power supply
- Bad RAM
- Virus
- Overheating CPU

Try to eliminate each as a possibility. Be sure to apply ALL critical
updates from MS and scan your entire system for viruses.

You are presumably blue-screening, and you are set to reboot whenever that
happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On the Advanced
tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System failure,
uncheck the box "Automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get the
blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those details for
more help.
