computer is slow&toolbar won't finish loading

I was using my computer one night and it was fine.The
next morning I turned it on and it took about 15-20
seconds to load my personal settings.And whenI put my
cursor over the toolbar at the bottom of the page the
Hour-Glass appears like the toolbar is never done
loading.And when I minimize an application it disappears
but is still running.Even though everything on my desktop
still operates fine my computer is still slower than it
was before this problem occured.Any information anyone
can provide would be appreciated.Thank You.

Scan for sypware, do a search for spybot and use. It works very well.
