Check for Hibernation as well, though that is different from a power down.
Does it just suddenly turn off with no notice, or does it begin the shutdown
process? If it just turns itself off, that is often a sign of hardware
problems.
Thank you Patrick & Mark. As it turns out I did a little clean up of the
internal fan and the problem was solved. Seems the dust that had collected
and blocked the cooling affect was causing the computer to over heat and shut
down.
Patrick's comment about the hardware made the light bulb go on.

You'll want to remember that this has happened, as you might experience
further problems if the CPU has actually been damaged. If that occurred,
you'd need to replace it - there's no way to fix it.
