Computer hard drive crash

M

Matt

Computer purchased 2years ago with preinstalled XP Home.
Included recovery disk from computer supplier but no
registration sticker on computer or CD, like my three
other computers. This is a legally purchased, previously
activated and registered XP copy with MS. Computer has
been repaired and is ready to reinstall XP but do not
have product key number. Computer supplier could not help
without puchasing another copy. They sent me to 800-
microsoft. Phoned technical support and they sent me
here. Please help and advise on how I can reactivate this
previously registered copy.

The manufacturer of your computer is 100% responsible for supporting
your preinstalled OEM installation of Windows XP. If they are unwilling
to help with issuing a Product Key, your only alternative is to go out
and purchase a new "Full Version" of Windows XP. Microsoft cannot
help you with this OEM issue.
