I haven't activated my OEM Windows XP on the new computer
I built because the computer hangs (the mouse and keyboard
are non-responsive and the screen freezes on the view at
the time of hanging). Hanging intervals vary from hours to
minutes. I am pursuing hardware problems, but I'M
WONDERING IF NOT ACTIVATING THE SOFTWARE IS CAUSING THE
HANGING TO ANNOY ME INTO ACTIVATING IT. All the hardware
manufacturers are willing to take back their hardware for
testing. I'm going to start with the Soyo motherboard then
the Intel CPU then the power supply. I have two brands of
memory so I've ruled memory out. After that I'm going to
chunk the thing in the dumpster.
