Computer hangs after security patch

I just downloaded and installed the latest recommended XP security patches.
Now, whenever I try to exit a newsgroup with Outlook Express, the computer
hangs and the CPU monitor indicates 100% usage. Prior to trying to exit, CPU
usage is 13%. I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and then manually stop OE and then
everything returns to normal. Is there a patch for the security patch?

simply noooooo. if it is 835732 then uninstall it and
see if problem fixed and then run a firewall for protection
against bill gates sasser worm.
