Computer Hangs After Closing IE6

G

Gary Sutnick

I have started having a problem when I close out Internet
Explorer 6. My computer hangs. No matter where I click
on my desktop - any icon or whatever - the computer will
not respond. This typically lasts from 30 seconds to a
minute and then the computer responds as normal. I am
assuming this is spy-ware related. I use Ad-Aware and Spy-
Bot on a regular basis, but lately all they have found is
tracking cookies. Could those cookies be causing my
problem? Or, is this something other than spy-ware?
Please advise. Feel free to e-mail me at
(e-mail address removed) or reply to the newsgroup.
Thanks. - Gary

No, the tracking cookies won't cause this.First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
