Computer Hang

Hi all

I recently have problems with my computer. My comp is
only 7-8 mths old, Pentium 4, and previously it was
working fine.

Lately:

- my computer often got stuck suddenly (I use Kazza Lite
to download files), now it virtually happens everytime if
I use internet explorer as well as Kazza at the same time.

- when I look at my task manager, I found that:
+ my CPU usage is low, only 0-6%,
+ but there seems to be so many processes going on at
the same time (there are more than 30 processes running,
ranging from svchost, iexplorer, system.exe, etc). Is
this normal???

Could anyone please tell me what is happening? Any help
will be appreciated.

30 processes is normal. How much memory do you have?
What do you mean by stuck?
Have you virus scanned and spyware scanned?

Stuck means that I cannot do anything. I could not even
turn it off, so I have to do it the hard way (pressing
the on button for a few seconds to cut the electricity
supply to the comp)

I have already used spybot to detect any spyware but it
says everything is ok.

Yes, the processes are just part of the OS. You;ll have then running
even if no other apps are running.
