computer freezes everytime i try to defragment

hiya was wondering if someone could please help ... i have recently purchased
new comp...think i mite have something set up wrong but when i try to
defragment the computer just freezes andy ideas??

If your computer is still under warantee contact the maker or the
seller. They should provide support for whatever period that is
specified in your documents.
