Defragment

Hi, I'm new here. I'm having trouble defragmenting my
computer. I have XP professional and when i try to
defragment my comp, it just restarts my comp. Iono
what's wrong. Can someone help me please? Thanx

Be sure to run an Error check first.... It's located above Defrag, on the
Tools menu. Select 'Automatically fix file system errors'
You will likely have to choose the schedule scan on next boot option. Once
rebooted, then try Defrag.

You should always run Error-checking first... no sense trying to defrag bad
info... better to clean it up first.

Additionally, you may try running it while in Safe Mode (hold down F8 while
booting to get there). If you haven't seen that mode before, it will look
and feel a bit strange to you....
