help,

firstly i am not a computer buff so sreplies relating to bios settings etc
will go straight over my head.

i have just installed service pack 2, after which my computer will not start
at all. i get the black screen with the microsoft xp logo and blue expanding
bar underneath, after which it seems to try to reboot itself without ever
switching my machine off.

i have tried safe mode, and all the other modes available to me after
hitting F3 with no joy, any help before i have to doi a complete re install
(thanks very much Bill) would be much appreciated. Mymachine had been
running fine before hand and was fully firewalled and virus protected
(acording to norton anyway)
