Computer doesn't recognize me as system administrator

When I go to msconfig and try to make changes in start up, it tells me that I
cannot make changes because I need to log on as an administrator account. I
am the only admin on my computer. What can I do?

Login to the built in administrator account. Then examine your account to
see what is wrong with it.
