Computer deletes files on own.

My computer keeps removing files from my slave drive, files and folders i should say. I'll rip a CD to the F: drive and put the CD in a folder, come back in a day and half the folder is missing or sometimes the whole folder, or just 2 songs. Anyone

Malfunctioning hard drive
Got to the manufacturers website and download their disk checking utility
