I turn on the computer and walk away after it boots up
completly... I here a few beeps from the motherboard, I
came back to find a error message that states that the
system.ini was either corrutped or missing, and that the
computer was unable to start. I guess I will write it
down the next time I boot up the computer. any help or
suggestions would be grateful.

If you are hearing more than one beep from the computer as it is
starting up, you may have a hardware problem. Without knowing what make
computer you have or any system specs, I can't guess more specifically.
You may have failing RAM, video card, hard drive. I would do some
hardware diagnoses. If you don't know how, then take the machine to a
good local computer repair shop (not a CompUSA or Best Buy store) and
have them check it out.
