COMPUTER CLOSES DOWN

Every time I use disc clean up or scan with the norton anti virus the
computer closes down after ten minutes into the scan I have already checked
for the sasser worm but it tells me its all clear
 
when you do the scan, open up the task manager and watch the performance
window, if it is always at 100% change you setting in the system application
in your control panel and then click advanced and change you virtual memory
by adding more space to it.

i have had this before a while back and this seemed to solve the problem.
