Computer back to factory settings and programs

I installed XP on a laptop that had Windows 95 in it.

OK, most or all of you are laughing. Others will ask me why I tried and yet
others will say it is impossible but it is done. Now I would like to
reinstall the disk to take the computer back to factory specs. I get so far
and it tell me that the disk is full and I need to removed items to make more
space. I am sure that once the original disk is installed, I will have more
available space but I cant get it to install.

Any suggestions would be great. Trying to give computer to person that need
just the basics, will not be addding software except what would go with
Windows 95.
