COMPUTER ADMINISTRATOR

I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET TO THE OPTIONS TO GIVE ME
THE ADMINISTRATOR / OWNER AS THE USER I HAVE 2 USER'S ON
PC. I JUST BOUGHT THE WIN XP 2 WEEKS AGO. HOW CAN I
MAKE USER 1 (ME) THE ADMINSTRATOR AND USER 2 (DAUGHTER)
THE LIMITED ACCESS TO MAKE CHANGES.
 
If you sign in as administrator then right click on My
computer and go to manage. THen go to local users and
groups. There you can put the users you created in to the
group you want(administrators, power users, etc) depending
ont he amount of right you want the user to have
 
Go to START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL. Click USER
ACCOUNTS and click on your account first, you should
either be showing as Computer Administrator or Limited
Account, click on CHANGE MY ACCOUNT TYPE and then select
either Admin or Limited account.

follow the same instructions for your daughters account
but choose LIMITED ACCOUNT.
