Hi Friends,

I just did an incredibly stupid thing. My computer was
set-up for me and I was the administrator. I just moved
the computer to my home and wanted to set-up my son as a
user. When I did this the only box to check was
administrator for him. After I made the change and re-
booted my system, my administrator user for me was gone.
In the process, I can't access any of my data files and
other various settings. If anyone can tell me how to fix
this, it would be most appreciated.

Best regards,

Ed

Can you log on using your son's account? Was your account
*the* administrator account (meaning that the name
actually was Administrator) or was it *an* administrator
account (meaning that the name was not Administrator)?

If your account was *the* administrator account then you
maybe able to access it by pressing control+alt+delete at
the login screen (this takes you to a screen where you
can actually type in an account name instead of choosing
from a list).
