Compressing pictures all at once?

David M. Marcovitz, thanks for the previous answers, helped quite a bit.

I was reading some of the helps on pictures and we checked things on the
projector with a few pics.
On the picture tool bar you can compress the picture which reduces the file
considerably.

When you click the picture and apply the compress, is there a way to do this
to all the slides?
It does say all pictures in document, and options is to compress picture on
the pop up after clicking the compress. There are about 20 slides so far,
but does it compress them all?
thanks

Yes, it does compress them all. I recommend not doing the compress until all
the pictures are in the file to reduce the risk of PPT attempting to
re-compress pictures that have already been compressed.

If your file size doesn't seem to be shrinking when you do the compress, it
is likely that you have fast saves turned on. TURN IT OFF. To do that, do
Tools--> Options--. Save tab and uncheck the Fast Saves check box. Once you
have finished that, re-save the file under a new name. The filesize should
shrink considerably.
