I am switching from 95 Second Edition to XP and have already done so to my kids' pcs. When
try to install XP on mine it says that I will be unable to access or read any compressed files.
have two hard drives...one compressed...one not. What do I do now?

XP will suck on a 95 class machine, best to upgrade to 98se, or just get a
new machine.

Uncompress the drive with whatever you used to compress.
Also do you mean Windows 98 SE since there is no such thing as Windows
95 SE?

Greetings --

What, you don't recall Win95 OSR2, which introduced rudimentary
USB support and (iirc) FAT32? Granted, it was only available as an
OEM product.

Btw, congratulations on the "Winny." It's well-deserved.

Am guessing not.( My first 'fat' days were via Win98. Everything else
is a blur!
