compressed file

Wanted to put my pictures in a compressed file so i could
password the file. A message came up saying file corrupt
and i have lost all my pictures. Can you help
 
Files are copied to a compressed folder normally. So they should still be there. If not is the folder password protected or not.

If not, get pkzip 2.50 for dos from www.pkware.com and run the zipfix uiility which will get any file not corrupted out of it.
