Compress old Files

My disk Clean Up ,Compress Old Files up shows 2,291,462

My HD 160 GB with 131 GB free sspace

Any advise appreciated as to whether or not to compress these files

Hi

These compressed old file are created by windows itself, you can delete this
folder by one of the follwing methods

1) Run the diskcleanup and make sure this folder is checked.
2) click start -> Run-> and type regedit
In the registry editor click on the EDIT and then find
In find box type Compress Old Files and click find
this will be on the right side of the window , right click on the folder
"compressed old files" and click delete
Then close the registry editor.

Right click the COMPRESS OLD FILES folder and clcik delte and then close the
registry editor

To avoid the creation of this compress old files folder, run diskcleanup
with all the folders checked daily .
