Complex/fancy chapter heading with numbering

Hi,

I wish to create a style in Word 2007 for chapters with numbering that
will be linked to a TOC in my thesis. This is easily done when using
standard formatting, but I wish to create a more complex/fancy header
like the one I have uploaded here:

Basically I want "Introduction" to be the name appearing on the TOC
and "Chapter 1" to be the automatic numbering that will also appear in
the TOC (it should only write in the TOC). The style in the image
above has been created using tables, but I can't get tables to work
with styles.

Can anyone help?

Believe me, you can trick Word into doing anything you like with TOCs. See
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/TOCTips.htm for some tips in this regard,
and keep in mind that if all else fails, you can resort to TC fields.
