Complex animations with trajectories.

Hi everybody,

I want to create simple animations, as I usually do in Powerpoint
thanks to the animation path feature. I think it's easy and you can
quickly create an animation. However, when the animation is long (many
trajectories and objects in the screen) using Powerpoint becomes really
difficult. I'm searching for alternatives for these cases.

Maybe Flash? The problem is that I have no idea and I don't have too
much time to improve my presentation. Would it be difficult for me to
learn how to use Flash in a Powerpoint-like manner? Is there any other
alternative? Any useful plugin for Powerpoint?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

S.

Hi,

This motion path tool will help.

Also, try building complex over more than one slide.

If you don't already know Flash, Glen's suggestions are best. Flash has a
fairly steep learning curve. I wouldn't expect to be able to open it up and
create PPT-type animations in a day. (Well, depending on the animations
you're after.)

Hi,

thanks for your answers. The idea of breaking up an animation into
several slides seems very good, that can solve my problem. But how can
I do that? The objects in a slide must appear at the end of the motion
paths I defined for them in the previous slide. Is there any easy way
to do this?

Thanks in advance,

S.

Yes, the add-in Glen posted contains a Motion Path End Position feature.

"Motion Path End Position: It will create duplicate shapes at the position
where each of the selected motion path animation ends. Using this tool you
can quickly determine the end position of the animation at design time."

Thanks, that's very useful. However, I realize that I need something
more. In my slide I have objects that appear and disappear, and what I
really would like is something to duplicate the status of the slide at
the final stage of the animation (some objects have been atenuated and
therefore they shouldn't be shown). Moreover, I find a problem to copy
only that parts of the slide to a new slide in order to continue with
the rest of the animation.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

S.
