this has been going on for about a month now and it's getting really annoying. my computer will shut down completely for no reason without any message popping up or any warning. i have to restart it manually and i have no idea how to fix this. i've run a spyware checker and it hasn't helped. if anyone can give me some info that would be great. thanks in advance.

Maybe a overheating problem . Blow out all fans and vents with compressed
air. Monitor temperatures and voltages. Jym

how exactly would i go about doing this? sorry for my lack of knowledge on this subject but i would like to know exactly what to do instead of guessing and ruining my system.

Either overheating (as others suggest) or your power supply is not
sufficient for what you are trying to do.

Assuming that you have a desktop , remove left side cover (as you face it)
and used compressed air on cpu , case and powersuppply fan. Find basic
location of these items by way of internet. Jump in and go for it ! Jym
