compile error

I have done all the compile error fixes and nothing seems to correct. In VB
their is an object call PDFmaker.xla when I try to delete or edit it opens a
password box...there has never been a password..since this is a re-install of
office 2k.. where would the password come from. also, my xlstart folder is
emply, I can't find any *.xla files.
help

PDFmaker.xla most likely came with your Office CD. It can be found in
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Add Ins

It was protected by the author, that's why you cannot edit it, or open it..
Not clear what compile error problem you have though. Is it a macro that you
tried to write, or what seems to be the problem.
