when i open or close Excel 2003 or word for that fact i get the above error,
with various endings distmon, exec etc. i have followed the resolution link
on MS but they ask me too move an adobe file reader, that is not on my pc as
I have adobe 7.0 not 5.0 I also use AVG antivirus not norton so the link is
not relevant.
Anyone got any ideas? it has not caused any problems as yet but it is
annoying and is probably doing something.
Thanks

Definitely something caused by adobe though. Look for a file called
pdfwrite.xla or similar (with Excel closed) and remove it. There is a chance
that as soon as you reboot, the xla gets pushed back into your system however.
If that is the case you'd have to contact your support dept to resolve this.
